How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

In   In my music video, there were varied conventions used. One would be editing. Some different editing techniques I used are slow-motion, zoom, and transitions. For the transitions we used a fade transition. This helped make the video flow nicely and keep it clean. For the slow-motion scenes, I put it on scenes I wanted emphasis on. I wanted emphasis on these scenes because they were major scenes in the video. The main zoom scene I used was the scene of us in the car. The video shows how basketball is a multiracial sport. It also shows You can be successful in the rap game while being white, even though it is rare.

jf   How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? 

      It engages with audiences in many ways. Although I could see mainly basketball lovers enjoying this video, I feel everyone who gave it a chance, would thoroughly enjoy it. While we were mainly on a basketball court, we were also jamming to the song in the car and on the rooftop. It could be distributed as a real media text because I feel that I incorporated all the components needed for a "good" music video. I also think it came out really good. Lastly, it stayed true to the overall theme of the song and the original video.
      
        How did your production skills develop throughout this project? 

        My production skill improved traumatically during this project. I learned a lot more about the editing process, since this was my fourth time editing anything. I learned how to make the transitions flow much smoother and cleaner. I also learned how to film much better. I learned how to properly use more camera angles, shots and more. This is helpful because I am only going to grow and become greater in this field as I progress in the class. I furthermore, have become a better "actor". This is because I have become more comfortable in front of a camera. I have never been the shy type of kid but, it is a little different being on camera.

      How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
      
       I integrated technologies in many ways. One way being what software I edited on. I used IMovie for this video. This is a pretty simple and straight forward system. I am becoming better each time I make a video because I am learning more each time.

Title Research: 30 Days of Night

 From Watch the Titles What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? What connotations do these images carry? How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The first thing we see is the title of the movie. This is accompanied by some eerie background music. We then see the director credits. These are followed by the cast. Then the music composers. The images shown are pretty scary. You can tell that they are truly trying to frighten you. Scary images of wolves, children and symbols were appearing. These were all showing a sense of knowing that you are about to be scared. Final Task (Location, Sound, Participants, Health, Schedule)

 For my final task I am making a horror movie. I will be recording my movie at a park. It will be dark. There also will not be anybody nearby. There will be background music to add to the theme of the movie. There will be dialogue between Grant and Clay. There will also be dialogue between Grant and Maria. There will only be three actors in my movie. One being Grant (myself). Clay is the driver. While Maria is the girl being kidnapped. There were lots of health precautions taken to ensure everybody's safety. We will have hand sanitizer available. Masks will also be worn when not filming. We all have also been together multiple times during the pandemic. This is because one is my bestfriend and the other is my girlfriend which is why we have all been together.
