Music Video


 For my music video I used the song White Iverson. This song is by Post Malone. Post Malone is one of my favorite artists right now. This is a reason I chose this song. The song is talking about how Post Malone is the white Allen Iverson. Allen Iverson is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He is also one of my all time favorites. He was know for his cornrows, charisma and swagger on and off of the court. He was a very good defender, has arguably the best dribbling of all time and was a crafty scorer. He could also pass very well. This is why most of my video takes place on a basketball court. My friend and I were the actors in the video. Another one of my friends recorded the shots of the two of us and the scenes of me. The other scenes were filmed by me. The filming and editing process was really easy. There are a few scenes I added a slow motion effect. This is because in the original White Iverson video there was a lot of slow motion used. It also helped add to the overall aesthetic I was looking for. The entire video took about 4 hours spread across two different days. It was really cool shooting my own music video and knowing it was to one of my favorite songs.

We had to research a genre for this blog. I chose horror. At first I thought I knew a lot about horror. I would soon come to the realization that I was very mistaken. I chose horror for many reasons. Title Research: 30 Days of Night

 From Watch the Titles What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? What connotations do these images carry? How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The first thing we see is the title of the movie. This is accompanied by some eerie background music. We then see the director credits. These are followed by the cast. Then the music composers. The images shown are pretty scary. You can tell that they are truly trying to frighten you. Scary images of wolves, children and symbols were appearing. These were all showing a sense of knowing that you are about to be scared. Final Task (Location, Sound, Participants, Health, Schedule)

 For my final task I am making a horror movie. I will be recording my movie at a park. It will be dark. There also will not be anybody nearby. There will be background music to add to the theme of the movie. There will be dialogue between Grant and Clay. There will also be dialogue between Grant and Maria. There will only be three actors in my movie. One being Grant (myself). Clay is the driver. While Maria is the girl being kidnapped. There were lots of health precautions taken to ensure everybody's safety. We will have hand sanitizer available. Masks will also be worn when not filming. We all have also been together multiple times during the pandemic. This is because one is my bestfriend and the other is my girlfriend which is why we have all been together.
