  6. How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.
The first thing you see is the Lionsgate intro. We then see the production company. Followed by the cast. You then see who the music is by. The setting shows a plantation house. A little girl is then shown running to who looks to be her mom. Then you see soldiers exiting the house. They then walk past what appear to be slaves as a man is raising the Confederate flag. This gives us the feeling that this will be more of a horror film that tugs on your emotions. This leaves the viewer in suspense of what will happen next. Different strategies used are music, advertisement, and actions. So far they have been very effective in creating a sense of suspense but not really horror. It could become a little more frightening later on though. However, this wasnt very scary so far for a horror movie.

We had to research a genre for this blog. I chose horror. At first I thought I knew a lot about horror. I would soon come to the realization that I was very mistaken. I chose horror for many reasons. One being because it is one of my favorite genres. Another being that it is very different in the way it it setup from most other genres. Rather than it being light outside, it is usually dark. You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The first thing we see is the title of the movie. This is accompanied by some eerie background music. We then see the director credits. These are followed by the cast. Then the music composers. The images shown are pretty scary. You can tell that they are truly trying to frighten you. Scary images of wolves, children and symbols were appearing. These were all showing a sense of knowing that you are about to be scared. Final Task (Location, Sound, Participants, Health, Schedule)

 For my final task I am making a horror movie. I will be recording my movie at a park. It will be dark. There also will not be anybody nearby. There will be background music to add to the theme of the movie. There will be dialogue between Grant and Clay. There will also be dialogue between Grant and Maria. There will only be three actors in my movie. One being Grant (myself). Clay is the driver. While Maria is the girl being kidnapped. There were lots of health precautions taken to ensure everybody's safety. We will have hand sanitizer available. Masks will also be worn when not filming. We all have also been together multiple times during the pandemic. This is because one is my bestfriend and the other is my girlfriend which is why we have all been together.
