Planning: sound and shooting script


 My film wont include much in the way of sounds. This is because I am doing a horror film. There will only be a few scenes.

Sound

Scene 1:

-Grant: "Hmmm, she looks good"

-Clay: "Yea lets get her"

Scene 2:

-No dialogue

Scene 3:

-Grant: "Okay Im gonna grab her"

-Clay: "Just keep her quiet. Get her in the car quick. I dont want to be seen here long."

Scene 4:

-Clay: "Go go go"

Scene 5:

-Grant: "Clay go"

-Maria: "get your hands off me"

Scene 6:

-Maria: "where are you guys taking me"

-Clay and Grant: "Guess you will have to find out"

Shooting

Scene 1:

Shows Clay and I driving in the car looking for the victim, then spotting her

Scene 2: 

We drive up to her

scene 3:

Shows Grant about to get out of the car

Scene 4:

Grant getting out of the car and grabbing Maria as she is kicking and screaming

Scene 5:

Grant throws Maria in the car and gets in the car 

Scene 6:

Maria asking the men questions and they both turn around and tell her the same thing.

Genre Research: Horror

We had to research a genre for this blog. I chose horror. At first I thought I knew a lot about horror. I would soon come to the realization that I was very mistaken. I chose horror for many reasons. Title Research: 30 Days of Night

 From Watch the Titles What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? What connotations do these images carry? How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The first thing we see is the title of the movie. This is accompanied by some eerie background music. We then see the director credits. These are followed by the cast. Then the music composers. The images shown are pretty scary. You can tell that they are truly trying to frighten you. Scary images of wolves, children and symbols were appearing. These were all showing a sense of knowing that you are about to be scared. Final Task (Location, Sound, Participants, Health, Schedule)

 For my final task I am making a horror movie. I will be recording my movie at a park. It will be dark. There also will not be anybody nearby. There will be background music to add to the theme of the movie. There will be dialogue between Grant and Clay. There will also be dialogue between Grant and Maria. There will only be three actors in my movie. One being Grant (myself). Clay is the driver. While Maria is the girl being kidnapped. There were lots of health precautions taken to ensure everybody's safety. We will have hand sanitizer available. Masks will also be worn when not filming. We all have also been together multiple times during the pandemic. This is because one is my bestfriend and the other is my girlfriend which is why we have all been together. I will record March 28, 2021. Then, I will start the editing process throughout the following week. This will roughly take me three days because I want to be sure that it looks good.
