Final Task (Production)

  For the final task we were asked to create the first two minutes to a movie. For the genre, I chose horror. I chose horror because I have researched it all year long. So I figured it would be the easiest choice. I thought this because I have learned so much about it. I also really enjoy horror movies. The name of my movie is "The Kidnapping." It is about a girl who get kidnapped by two men. I had to add the title slides while editing. The first one is the production studios. Next is the production company. Then the actors names. First was Grant Lamont. Next was Clay Scheetz. Next was Maria Gavilanes. Then came the title of the movie. Then who casted the actors. Next is who the music is by. Then is who did the visual effects. Next is who designed the costumes. Followed by the editor of the film. Next is who designed the production. Then who directed the photography. Next is the producer. Followed by the story creator. Next is the writer of the story. Finally the director of the film.

Title Research: 30 Days of Night

 From Watch the Titles What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? What connotations do these images carry? How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The first thing we see is the title of the movie. This is accompanied by some eerie background music. We then see the director credits. These are followed by the cast. Then the music composers. The images shown are pretty scary. You can tell that they are truly trying to frighten you. Scary images of wolves, children and symbols were appearing. These were all showing a sense of knowing that you are about to be scared. Final Task (Location, Sound, Participants, Health, Schedule)

 For my final task I am making a horror movie. I will be recording my movie at a park. It will be dark. There also will not be anybody nearby. There will be background music to add to the theme of the movie. There will be dialogue between Grant and Clay. There will also be dialogue between Grant and Maria. There will only be three actors in my movie. One being Grant (myself). Clay is the driver. While Maria is the girl being kidnapped. There were lots of health precautions taken to ensure everybody's safety. We will have hand sanitizer available. Masks will also be worn when not filming. We all have also been together multiple times during the pandemic. This is because one is my bestfriend and the other is my girlfriend which is why we have all been together.
