I filmed for my music video on the Friday before Thanksgiving break and the Monday of Thanksgiving break. I ended up not using some scenes from my storyboard. I thought of some better ideas while recording. I did not include any of the Jeep scenes except the one of us listening to the song inside of the Jeep. This is because I felt the video should be more basketball based because of the part of the song we were using and the lyrics of that part. I also made this a little bit longer than I had originally anticipated. However, I feel the video flowed really well. I included a few more basketball clips. I did this because I wanted to stick to the roots of what the song is about which is Post Malone being the white Allen Iverson which is where the name "White Iverson." I also took out the scenes of walking on and off the court. I also took out the other Jeep scenes. I filmed at George English Park as well as my rooftop of my house. There is also two scenes where my friend and I ...

Music Video Storyboard

My music video is going to be White Iverson by Post Malone. The first scene will be my friend and I showing up in the Jeep. This will be a slow motion scene. The following scene will be us stepping out of the Jeep. The next scene will be us walking onto the court. I will be dribbling a basketball while I am walking. The following scene will be me taking a reverse layup. Allen Iverson was very good at this move which is who the song is about. The next scene will be my friend and I lip-syncing to the song. The following scene will show me shooting some shots. The next scene will be of my friend and I in the Jeep listening to the song and jamming out. The following scene will show my friend taking some shots on the court. In the next scene I will do a crossover into a shot. This was Allen Iverson's signature move so it will pay homage to him in a way. The following scene will be my friend and I lip-syncing again. We will then start walking off the court. Finally we will drive off in...

For my music video I am using White Iverson by Post Malone. I am doing this because it is one of my favorite songs and Allen Iverson (who the song is about), is one of my favorite NBA players of all time. This is because of the swagger he had on and off the court. For my music video I will be at the park. I will be shooting some basketballs with my friend. This is because in the video he was shooting a couple of basketballs. I will also be playing basketball because the song is about a basketball player. I will also be in my friends Jeep. Schedule: 11/20- Create the storyboard for my music video. This will be 12 boxes. 11/21- I will record the necessary shots for my music video. This will include close ups, panning shots and other shots. This will be a one minute music video. My friend will also be in some parts of the video. This process should take around 1-1 1/2 hours. 11/22- I will edit my music video. This is where I will add slow motion. This process should be fairly easy. T...

For my music video I am doing White Iverson by Post Malone. White Iverson is one of my favorite songs. In the video he has a white Rolls Royce. He is also in the desert. He shoots a couple shots on the basketball hoop he brought with him. In the video he used a lot of slow motion. There was also a lot of panning shots. This song falls under the hip-hop genre. Usually in hip-hop music videos, the artist has many people around him trying to get the listener hype because most hip-hop music gets people hype. However, it White Iverson, he is only with one other person. Post Malone has a basketball in his hand along with a basketball hoop in the background of his video because the song is talking about the former NBA MVP and Hall of Famer, Allen Iverson. Post Malone also had his hair in braids to resemble Allen Iverson's cornrows he was well known for. The Rolls Royce also fit the characteristics of a hip-hop music video because most of the music videos in this genre have nice, luxuriou...

For my music video, I am doing White Iverson by Post Malone. I am doing this song because Post Malone is one of my favorite artists. White Iverson is also my favorite song by him. I feel that I can easily do this video because I have easy access to a basketball court. I would do this on a basketball court because the song is talking about how Post Malone is the white Allen Iverson. I will be working with my friend Clay acting in part of it and I will be in part of it. I am choosing to work with Clay because we hang out every weekend and therefore, it will be easy to record. I also play a lot of basketball already so it should make this pretty easy. I also choose this song because when this song came out, I knew it was going to blow up. I had also predicted that Post Malone was going to blow up. I have also been with him since the beginning. Allen Iverson is also one of my favorite basketball players off all time. This is because he was a very controversial player. He liked to talk...

VANS commercial project

Image
This was my first big project that I worked on. My friend acted in the commercial. I was filming the whole commercial. This commercial is a VANS commercial. This commercial was meant to promote VANS apparel. I was also trying to show people the different items that VANS may sell. Everything shown in the commercial was my friends. This is because he is wearing the items and we wear different sizes. I feel as if everything in this commercial went very smoothly. In real VANS commercials, there is not usually a voiceover. This is why I did not do a voiceover on my commercial. The typical music choice in a VANS commercial is usually a vibey type song. I used a beach vibe type of song to fit the normal VANS commercial. I also added a VHS filter to add to the overall aesthetic of the commercial. I used a skateboard in my commercial. This is because VANS is known for their skating apparel. I also added pictures of some shirts and a pair of shoes to really show off the name of the brand. VANS i...

Editing Blog

Once all of the scenes were filmed we edited all of the clips. First I had to merge all of the clips together. I then added a transition to make the all of the clips flow smoothly. This also helped to bring the video together. I then put a filter over the entire video. I used an old school VHS camera. This gave the commercial an old school vibe. This also added to the overall theming that I was going for with this commercial. I then had to cut down all of the clips. The clips started form a range of 5 seconds to 25 seconds. I had to cut them down to around 3 seconds each. I then added an effect to the scene of my friend walking on the curb. I added a bounce effect. I feel like this also added to the vibe I was going for in this commercial. This scene was cut from about 12 seconds to about 3 seconds. However, when I added the bounce effect, it made the clip about 5 seconds. The editing process was fairly easy. It took a total of about a half an hour to an hour. A half hour of the e...

Filming Blog

On October 25, 2020, I started filming my VANS commercial. All of the scenes for my commercial were filmed this day. This was a fairly easy process. I recorded about 3 shots per scene. Since I was recording the commercial, I had my friend act as the "model" for the clothing. Since he would be wearing the clothes and shoes, he brought these items. The first scene started with my friend on a skateboard showing the back of the shoe. This was about a 3 second clip. The next scene was also a skateboard scene. However, this one showed the side of the shoe. This is also about a 3 second clip. These 2 scenes show off a specialty type of VANS shoe which has a plastic cover over the top of it acting almost as a raincoat. This scene was about 3 seconds. The next clip is my friend walking onto the curb. In this scene he is wearing all white VANS. These are some of the most popular shoes VANS sells. This scene is also about 3 seconds. The following scene is showing my friends legs hangin...
